It has lift off!!

The Discovery is free!!

At 10:39am, the Discovery lifted off from Cape Canaveral and disappeared in the space, carrying seven astronauts, parts for the ISS and the hopes of millions who believe that mankind will get one day to the stars.

Today the Space Shuttle flew back home and it will surely return the astrounauts back on Earth, where it's their home.

It is important to commemorate that on this day, 36 year ago, mankind set foot on another celestial body for the first time.

On these difficult days, when NASA is working 24/7 in order to bring the Discovery back to space, we must remember that we've been there, we'll return and we'll certainly go further.

El hombre siente gran ambición por llegar a donde sus sueños. Sueños que lo han llevado a cruzar el Atlántico, al espacio y a la Luna. Sueños que hoy envían máquinas que cuentan historias de estrellas que algún día alcanzará.

Desde 1972 el hombre no ha vuelto a pisar la Luna, pero está ansioso por regresar e ir más allá.

Desde 2003 que el transbordador espacial se encuentra cautivo en la Tierra, víctima de un accidente que hoy no debe suceder a toda costa.

Hoy el transbordador, aún en tierra, espera regresar a donde pertenece, con el hombre al mando, persiguiendo su sueño de alcanzar las estrellas y regresar para contarlo.
